The 2005 WSOP Main Event champion Joe Hachem made public that he will be working with AsianLogic, who deals with the online and land-based gambling industry but mainly focused on the Asia Pacific markets.
Hachem was previously in partnership with the celebrity packed online Poker site, PokerStars, which he said he left as he wanted to spend time closer to home and his family.
AsianLogic is not as big as long standing online poker sites but it is already dealing with some Asian online casinos and poker rooms, powered by online software provider Playtech.
Hachem feels Asia is waking up to online poker and as the ambassador for the up-and-coming Asian Poker Tour; one of his role would be to market the poker industry.
AsianLogic acquired the Asian Poker Tour in 2008. J.C. Tran and Nam Le will join Hachem for this year’s tour.
Hachem, who is from Australia, will also help make a name for AsianLogic in the Australian market.
Tom Hall, AsianLogic’s CEO, said that although Joe is a top poker player, they were also interested in his knowledge of the poker industry at home in Australia and worldwide.
Hachem is currently playing at home for the 2012 Aussie Millions.
